Abstract

Md. Abul Kalam Azad Abstract: Women’s rights can be considered human rights. Negligence to women’s rights is violation to human rights. The convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against women defines the rights of women to be free from discrimination and sets the core principle to protect this right. It establishes the agenda for national action to end discrimination, and provides the basis for achieving equality between men and women through ensuring women’s equal access to, and equal opportunities in political and public life as well as education, health and employment. The empowerment and autonomy of women and improvement of their political, social, economical and health states is highly important and in itself as well as essential for the achievement of sustainable development. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and tights and that everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedom sets forth therein without distinction of any kind, including distinction based on sex.
